With a background that spans law enforcement, commercial drone operations, photography and creative business, Open2View franchise owner Joel Owen brings a unique perspective to real estate media. A former NSW Police Officer and qualified private investigator, Joel developed a strong eye for detail, professionalism and communication — skills that now translate directly into capturing properties at their best.

Joel’s photography journey began long before real estate, completing formal photography studies and later working extensively in food photography, menu design and creative styling. He also co-authored a cookbook through his cooking school business, combining visual presentation with creative storytelling.

In recent years, Joel has built extensive experience in drone operations, including aerial cinematography, mapping and commercial drone work across multiple industries. Combined with a passion for visual media and technology, this allows him to deliver high-quality imagery, video and aerial content designed to help properties stand out in a competitive market.

Outside of photography, Joel also operates Autograph Alley, a global music memorabilia authentication and collectibles business driven by a lifelong passion for music and visual presentation.
